Natural Spaces in the City – Between the Climate Crisis, Self-Efficacy, and Questions About the Future
Starting in October 2026
With a special exhibition marking the conclusion of the “Klimaoasen Oldenburg” project, the Landesmuseum Natur und Mensch will take visitors on an immersive journey through urban natural spaces in the face of climate change, beginning in October 2026. The exhibition focuses on the question: How can urban green spaces and forests safeguard our quality of life—and how do we, as a society, shape these green spaces of the future?
The exhibition combines sensory experiences of nature with scientific facts and social reflection. From a multisensory introduction to reflection spaces, interactive climate psychology exhibits, and a participatory future lab, the exhibition offers many entry points for a broad audience.
The exhibition invites visitors to be moved, to take a stand, and to question their own role in the socio-ecological transformation. It allows us to look not only at nature, but also at our shared future.
