The digital exhibition ‘Sacred Geography: Dersim & Diaspora’ focuses on the Kurdish Alevis' belief in nature. The focus is on sacred places such as mountains, springs and rocks that are worshipped in Dersim (eastern Anatolia). Today, many Alevis live in Germany and bring this faith with them. The exhibition shows how the belief in nature changes in the diaspora and yet remains alive!
The online exhibition is publicly accessible on the website of the German Digital Library. It was curated by Dr. Ahmet Kerim Gültekin as part of the MUSEALOG programme.
